What Agile roles (or profiles) are there?

The scrum framework has three basic roles:

  • The Scrum Master;
  • The Product Owner;
  • And the Developer.

Sometimes, within larger organisations, you also see an Agile coach. In recent years, the SAFe way of working has been on the rise and in it you see multiple roles emerging alongside the familiar Scrum basic roles such as, Release Train Engineer (RTE), Product Manager, System Architect and (Lean) Portfolio manager.
