The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate has decided that, in addition to the energy report, suppliers must start making detailed consumption (daily, weekly, monthly and annual) of the past 24 months available to their customers via the internet. This will take effect from 1 July 2020. For some also known as IC263.
In principle, suppliers can already have data up to a year back, as the grid operator can already provide them with that data. Suppliers are expected to start making the detailed consumption data they already have available to their customers now. Grid operators and suppliers then have until 1 July 2022 to extend that data range to 24 months.
Impact and opportunities
A decision that has a lot of impact on various IT layers in the organisation. Exchanging messages and processing measurement data requires a lot of capacity from IT systems. Let alone the capacity needed to store all the metering data. Your customers expect access via a web and/or app solution that can interface instantaneously with the backend location where all your metering data is stored.
A decision with a challenging impact on IT systems and several choices to be made that will have a long-term impact. Challenges but also opportunities! Opportunities that can be exploited at an early stage.
